It is now December already, and time for the nation to snuggle comfortably into the iron grasp of Christmas Mania. Well, except for those who disapprove of Christmas Mania. Such people may instead affect a hearty attitude of Bahumbugism. These, of course, are the only two choices as we live in a society in which only polar opposites are allowed to exist.
I have decided to attempt to once again participate in the Holidailies blogging challenge. The challenge is simple: try to post consistently— perhaps even daily— from December 1, 2013 to January 1, 2014. I’ve participated in this challenge on and off for the past few years, and I’m hoping that I’ll just maybe recapture a bit of the fun of my early days of blogging. At the very least, I’ll be provided with 31 days of writing prompts.
Another event beginning this month is the 2014 Sci-Fi Experience. During the course of the SFE, one is invited to experience Science Fiction works of all kinds— be they text, film, or game— and share one’s thoughts of those works. There are no goals or rules as the SFE is less a challenge than a theme. So perhaps I’ll finish a book or two. Or at the very least analyze a movie.
