Microfiction: The Maniac’s Mansion

Welcome to Microfiction Monday, where an image paints 140 characters or fewer.

  1. Argh, what one must do to fulfill the conditions of the will. I’d chicken out when receiving an inheritance involves staying on a spooky island! Good one!

I had to highlight the words in order to read them.

  2. Wow–you really captured the mood with this mm! I love it. Unexpected and very believable. Hope their night turned out to be alright….
    Have a great week. Cheers~

  3. OOooOooo! I like creepy, and you nailed it! I wish this piece of microfiction was a “To Be Continued,” because now I’m on the edge of my seat with no place to go. Hm. To fill the void, maybe I’ll head out to the video store and rent Harper’s Island or Shutter Island… I dunno, both have dark scary woods, dark scary waters and the mandatory spooky-scary people, but no “like a carrot-under-a-rabbit’s-nose” inheritance, so, where’s the fun in that? Hand me the remote. Maybe I can catch the tale-end of Regis or something.
